This journey started fifteen years ago with a pump shotgun handed down to me from Grandpa and an English Springer Spaniel I bought sight unseen from a newspaper classified add. My first bird dog JP was an amazing talent and sparked my love for upland hunting and the dogs we do it behind. 

Soon there were four Springers in the family that I had a hand in training but as my love for wild places and birds grew, so did my need for a bigger ranging dog for some of the terrain California had to offer.

My first English Setter Lady came by not much more than shear luck and her natural ability, ease of training, and calm nature made me a quick believer in the Setter as the ultimate companion and hunting partner.

With the goal of producing not only high quality bird dogs but also competitive field trial prospects and a dog that is a joy in the home we will not compromise on the dogs we choose to breed.
